“One woman can make a difference, but together we can rock the world.” – anonymous
The goal of the Charity Girl Problems #WCW Spotlight Series is to share the stories of women who have courageously stepped outside their comfort zone to follow their passions and use their talents to find their own unique way of giving back. And to build a community where women feel supported and encouraged to continue in their journey of giving back.
Whether it be fundraising by running marathons; creating stationery that is witty, eco-friendly and socially responsible; leaving a career where you were successful to follow your true passion; or wearing a dress for 150 days to raise awareness for a cause close to your heart – all of these acts are worthy of being celebrated. There is no act too big or too small when it comes to making a difference. I am always looking to meet new people and hear your stories as to how you are using your own unique talents and pursuing your passions, while also giving back to the world in your own way. If you are interested in sharing your story or know someone who is #WCW-worthy and deserves their time in the #WCW Spotlight, I’d love to hear from you.
Go for it! And tell everyone! When people see you’re passionate about something that helps others I think it inspires them to want to help too!
“I lost my father to Leukemia on February 6, 2013, and since then, I have really changed my outlook on life. Now I live with a certain mentality of “f*** it, why not?!” Life really is too short and if you don’t make those leaps and take those chances, you will just end up boring… and then you’ll die anyway.”
There’s nothing better than contributing, even a little bit, to improve somebody’s life.
If you keep yelling so loud about what you’re passionate about, someone somewhere will join you on your quest and make sure you involve them as much as possible.
